About Me
December 29, 2009 by Shane
My name is Shane and I am on my 7th year as a full time desk jockey. I enjoy playing sports and stay active working around the house; however, my physical fitness is nowhere near where it used to be. I purchased the P90X work out program 2 years ago and have tried twice in the past. As my 30th birthday is approaching, I am ready for a change in my body. I am not too overweight; however there is always room for improvement and toning.
Reflecting on my two previous failures, I have done some reflecting and I think I know some of the reasons why I failed:
- I didn’t create a routine for workouts – I would just start working out at different times of the day and that made it easier for other distractions to interfere.
- No dedicated work out area – I was trying to work out in my family room and it is hard to get reps in when the dogs are trying to lick my face.
- No Supplements – After day two each time my muscles would be aching and I would hate the 3rd or 4th day.
- No motivation – I thought it would be a fun workout that I could just keep up with.
Since the New Year is fast approaching (as well as my 30th birthday) I have decided that now is the perfect time to start AND FINISH P90X. I have done a lot of research online for things like dieting, equipment, and supplements for the P90X program. Please check back regularly to follow my progress and watch my transformation.

Nice blog! I like it! I’m on day 39 of my P90X workout! I always feel like I get such a tough, but awesome workout from P90X. Awesome job again on your post and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the compliment. I am on day 39 as well. How much weight are you using for dumbbell curls?
