P90X – Day 20 – KenpoX

Today I had to modify my typical workout time for Kenpo. I have added two additional workout days a week for the next 5 weeks. It is part of a competition that involves teams loosing the most amount of weight. So I didn’t want to workout in the morning and then weight in. This pushed my Kenpo routine back to the evening. It was the first time working out in the evening and everything was OK. I did my pre-work out drink, got a good routine in and then finished with my usual shake and a good dinner.
Heart rate was up the entire workout. It dropped below 160 for a few seconds. Jumping jacks did help get it right back up. Finishing up the last round of Kenpo, I thought I had the routine nailed. However, working on twisting your hips with the punches is something that I need to work on. Overall, I am happy with day 20. Looking forward to my recovery week!
