P90X – Day 23 – Core Synergistics

A Brand New Exercise

After 22 days of the same exercise routines, I was excited about a new exercise. That was until I got to the intro of the workout that listed what I needed. I have to admit, I felt like I was on an episode of MacGruber. Here is what you need:

  1. Yoga mat
  2. Tower
  3. Plastic Plate
  4. Stick of bubble gum
  5. Duct tape

And boom goes the dynamite!

Ok, maybe it wasnt that bad, but you do need a plastic plate. Core Synergistics is a butt kicking workout. You are rolling from back to belly a few different times and the weight workouts are no joke. Tony is seriously trying to work every muscle you have. Everything is engaged during the routine. I didnt push extremely hard because I did not know what to expect next. I was still perspiring, but there was a little gas in the tank at the end.

When I first read that this was going to be recovery I was fealing bold. I thought “recovery week, I am 3 weeks into P90X, I don’t need recovery”.  However, this has been a really solid week so far and I don’t think it is going let up. Looking forward to stretching tomorrow and more Yoga after that.

For breakfast I tried a chicken scramble. It is basically 6-8 egg whites some chicken and low fat cheese. It was really good and my dogs enjoyed the little bit I left them.

    OMG… MacGruber. Hilarious! I’m loving your blog and can’t wait to see your results! My wife and I start day one tomorrow. I’m going to do a daily blog like yourself and then a weekly video post as well. I’ve also vowed to follow every last detail of the nutrition plan as it’s key to the entire program, I’ve heard.
