P90X – Day 9 – Plyometrics

Finished Day 9 of P90X, Plyometrics and I am beat. I focused on perfecting each routine and I am really happy with my progress. The Swing Kicks over a chair and Jump Knee Tucks where real burners, especially when you start double timing it. I kept my heart rate above 160 the whole work out and stayed in 170 – 185 range for a majority of it! I did notice my rate drop during the Military March, however some quick running in place got me right back up. Having a mirror really helps to keep in the zone and it also helps if you don’t want to watch the clock count down for a routine, like hot foot.
For breakfeast I had another delicious shake and an easy omelet. With day 9 down, I am feeling good. I believe I have everything correct for my body, diet and personal schedule. Working out in the morning is great because it is cold out and I can close my office door and open the window to keep the room cool. It is also nice because I can get a good jump on the day and go into work wide awake and ready. I will be heading to Play it Again Sport today to get a heavier weight for Lawnmowers, etc. My goal is size, so I want a weight that makes the reps 6,7 and 8 tough.
